Overview of my work at Microsoft
Microsoft News Team
& Microsoft Homepages Team
In January 2019, I joined the Microsoft News Team as a product designer. We worked with Edge Chromium Browser group to monetize the NTP/news framework with Bing Search, Taboola, AdChoices, and other Advertising partners.
While working in studio, our team had a cameo in THE VERGE video about the big Changes to the company’s approach to design.
Microsoft News + Monetization Initiative
Microsoft News delivers high-quality news from the world’s most popular and trusted publishers, across web and mobile experiences. Partners with premium publishers that represent over 4,500 brands to deliver news, free to everyone every day.
For this reason, monetization plays a huge role in providing a sustainable source of revenue and growth for our publishing partners. So, they can focus on what they do best – producing high-quality journalism.

My Role On The Monetization Team
From January 2019 to February 2020, I was in charge of implementing monetization UX design. Which meant, create, update, and maintain scalable user-focused & money making product solutions and framework.
Worked directly with design manager (DM) for initiative to design end-to-end solutions.
We developed close partnerships with PMs, Devs and Third Party owners.
Partnered with DM to develop quick sprints to validate design hypothesis with user feedback and revenue impact.
Microsoft Homepages on WXC
Starting in February 2020, our team shifted gears and we became the MSFT Homepages team within the Web Experience Collective (WXC). Our initiative is to improve and align UX of the 25+ homepages experience.
The project that was my main focus in this initiative is the Content Feeds Framework (CFF), which is ever evolving. The CFF is how content shows up on the pages from all partners including: News, Editorial, Structured Data (Weather, Finance, Sports), Bing Search & Shopping, Outlook, Teams, Third Party like Spotify, Gmail, and more.
I’ve also worked on UX for the Edge NTP. Partnered with PM’s to recommend iterations to the Top Sites module. Starting with a problem, meeting and collaborating then wire-framing, design vetted with a/b testing solutions, working incrementally toward the best design solution.
